Teknologi informasi dimanfaatkan oleh sebagian besar perusahaan otobus dalam sistem pergudangan yang mengatur segala informasi suku cadang bus. Data dari kegiatan pencatatan suku cadang di bagian gudang PO. Sumber Alam dari tahun ke tahun akan terus bertambah. Data-data transaksi tersebut harus dipindahkan ke sebuah data warehouse melalui proses ekstraksi, transformasi, dan load data yang dapat mengolah berbagai data menjadi satu kesatuan sistem. Perancangan model data warehouse pada PO. Sumber Alam ini menggunakan pendekatan star schema. Pendekatan ini memiliki satu tabel fakta yang terdapat di pusat bintang dengan beberapa tabel dimensi yang mengelilinginya. Tabel fakta yang terbentuk dari perancangan data warehouse di bagian gudang PO. Sumber Alam yang merupakan transaksi permintaan suku cadang dari bagian bengkel ke bagian gudang guna kebutuhan perbaikan armada bus.
